The Montrose Regional Health Foundation gratefully accepts gifts of real estate, including residential homes, condominiums, commercial properties, farmland, rental properties, and undeveloped land, following a comprehensive evaluation of the property and its potential value to the foundation.

Before accepting any real estate donation, a Phase 1 environmental assessment will be conducted to identify potential environmental risks. The Gift Acceptance Committee will review the findings of this assessment and make recommendations to the appropriate administrators and Board Committees regarding the acceptance of the property.

An impactful way to maximize your charitable contributions is by donating appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit, real estate, or artwork. These gifts are straightforward to value without the need for a formal appraisal and can be transferred with ease. By donating appreciated securities prior to selling them, you may benefit from significant tax advantages, including a deduction based on their current market value. This allows you to avoid paying taxes on the appreciated portion of the asset’s value.

All contributions are subject to review by the foundation’s Board of Directors to ensure alignment with our policies before acceptance.
