Doug Speedie, MD, to guide community members through upcoming Medicare changes
MONTROSE, Colo. (June 25, 2025) – Montrose Regional Health (MRH) is offering a series of free community presentations to help residents navigate upcoming changes to Medicare. Medicare in a Nutshell will be led by Doug Speedie, MD, a certified Medicare counselor with the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), who brings years of expertise in navigating Medicare options.
Starting January 1, 2026, MRH will no longer be an in-network provider for Humana Medicare Advantage plans. These sessions will help individuals prepare for the change, whether they are new to Medicare, reviewing their current plan, or seeking clarity on coverage.

Monday, Sept. 29 | 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
All sessions will be held at the Montrose Regional Health Conference Center, located on the Lower Level of the hospital at 800 S. 3rd Street. Light refreshments will be provided, and all community members are welcome.
