Pregnant & Powerful class helps women stay strong during pregnancy and postpartum

MONTROSE, Colo. (March 12, 2026) – Montrose Regional Health (MRH) will offer the Pregnant & Powerful class beginning Monday, March 16, 2026. The prenatal and postpartum strength training program is designed to help women stay strong, confident, and supported throughout pregnancy and after childbirth.

Classes will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Participants may choose between two weekly sessions for $40 per month or three weekly sessions for $60 per month. Classes will take place at the Mountain View Therapy – Center for Wellness, 820 S. Fourth St., Montrose. The program operates on a rolling basis, allowing women to join at any point during their pregnancy.

“The Pregnant & Powerful class supports expectant and new mothers by promoting safe, evidence-based exercise during pregnancy and postpartum,” said Constance Oak, physical therapist assistant at MRH. “Led by exercise and pelvic health specialists, the program builds strength, confidence, and community while connecting families with additional resources at Montrose Regional Health.”

Participants must obtain a referral from an OB-GYN prior to attending the class and complete a 30-minute intake consultation with a pelvic health specialist. The program is supervised by certified strength and conditioning specialists and pelvic health specialists.
