Advanced Technology

At Montrose Regional Health, we believe in providing our patients with the best care possible. That is why we have acquired the ARTIS icono angiography system for highly detailed vascular imaging. This system produces rapid and reliable results, allowing caregivers to promptly detect, diagnose and treat issues the patient may be suffering from. All of the operations performed with the ARTIS icono are minimally invasive, opening up possibilities for patients who are unable to undergo more invasive surgeries. To learn more about this technology, read our full press release.

Rehabilitation Services

Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs are designed to help patients regain strength, improve endurance, and confidently return to daily activities after cardiac or pulmonary events.

Meet our Cardiopulmonary Rehab caregivers.

What is Cardiac Rehab?

Cardiac rehab is a medically supervised program designed to improve your cardiovascular health after a heart attack or heart surgery through exercise and lifestyle modifications. Cardiac rehab programs typically consist of the following five components:

  1. Regular exercise
  2. Adopting a heart healthy diet
  3. Reducing stress
  4. Smoking cessation
  5. Medical therapy

What can I expect in a rehab session?

First, you will go through a thorough medical evaluation by our specially trained staff of nurses, respiratory therapists, and exercise physiologists. This evaluation will help the team tailor a program just for you. Next, we’ll create your exercise program. Your training may be done one-on-one or in a group setting. Your heart rate and blood pressure will be monitored during all physical activity. Education on your condition and ways to manage it will be included in each session.

How do I become a patient?

Talk your doctor about a referral for our cardiac rehabilitation program. Or call (970) 252-2532 with any questions or to make an appointment.

What is Pulmonary Rehab?

Pulmonary rehab programs offer substantial benefits in improving lung function, reducing symptoms, and enhancing the quality of life for those suffering from chronic lung disease or asthma. Pulmonary rehab includes exercise classes and education about your lung disease or condition.
