“We are excited to welcome our community’s first gastroenterologist, Dr. Michael Paolucci,” says Jeff Mengenhausen, CEO of Montrose Regional Health. “Caring for you like family means increasing access to the care you need right here in Montrose. Dr. Paolucci is an experienced physician diagnosing and treating digestive health. We are happy to offer our communities even more advanced care, right here at home.”
Dr. Paolucci has over 27 years of experience in gastroenterology, including diagnosing and treating GI issues, colon cancer screenings, colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, interventional/advanced endoscopy, and more. Dr. Paolucci is board-certified in Gastroenterology & Internal Medicine.
Before coming to Montrose Regional Health, Dr. Paolucci practiced in Colorado Springs at the fastest-growing and largest gastroenterology practice in southern Colorado. Paolucci is excited to be at Montrose Regional Health. “I’m eager to practice in a rural area again,” said Dr. Paolucci. “I wanted to be at a hospital where I am free to make the best decision for the patient, and I am excited to be where the patient is truly the focus of what we do.”
The new service means patients in the Montrose region have access to expertise in diagnosing, treating, and supporting individuals with gastrointestinal concerns. Dr. Paolucci is located in the new Ambulatory Care Center building at 3330 S. Rio Grande Ave. in Montrose and is accepting new patients.
