Outreach clinics, new providers, and advanced technology improve access to heart care

MONTROSE, Colo. (February 5, 2026) – Montrose Regional Health is recognizing Heart Health Month in February by highlighting continued growth in cardiology services designed to improve access to care across the Western Slope. Recent expansions include additional outreach clinics, new providers, and investments in advanced cardiac technology.

MRH Cardiology now provides services at seven locations throughout the region. In addition to care available at the main hospital, patients can be seen at the MRH Cardiology Clinic in Montrose, the Center for Wellness, and outreach clinics in Delta, Gunnison, Cortez, and Telluride.

Since last year’s Heart Health Month, the cardiology team has welcomed two new providers: Wojciech Nowak, DO, and Kate Hall, NP. Nowak earned his medical degree and completed his residency at Michigan State University. He is double board certified by the American Osteopathic Association in both cardiology and interventional cardiology. Hall earned her Master of Science degree from Pace University in New York and is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

MRH Cardiology continues to invest in advanced technology to support timely diagnosis and treatment. At the main hospital location, caregivers use the ARTIS icono angiography system, which provides detailed vascular imaging to help identify and treat cardiovascular conditions.

The department’s most recent addition is the ZOLL AutoPulse NXT Resuscitation System, an automated CPR device that delivers continuous, hands-free chest compressions during cardiac emergencies. The system helps maintain blood flow to the brain and heart while allowing caregivers to focus on advanced lifesaving care. Grant funding covered 75 percent of the cost.
